Deborah Horn
Owner of Artemis Gardens Landscape Design, Deborah has been in business since 2001, with 20 years of practical experience with gardening organically. For four of those years, she also managed the MsK Rare Plant Nursery within the Kruckeberg Botanic Garden of Shoreline, Washington. She is currently designing a native plant display garden at Go Natives Nursery in Shoreline. View Project Gallery.
Her areas of expertise include native plant and drought-tolerant garden design, fine pruning, vegetable gardening and long-term, low-maintenance garden strategies. She is a King County Native Plant Steward and Seattle Tree Steward. In both Shoreline and Seattle, she has designed native plantings for public spaces and volunteered on stream restoration projects. She has written articles and given lectures on fine gardening to community groups and horticultural organizations throughout the Puget Sound area.
